THE GREAT OUTDOOR RADIO SHOW WITH GREG WAGNER brought to you by Mahoney State Park

A native of Gretna and a 1981 Graduate of Gretna High School, Greg Wagner currently serves as the Public Information Officer and Manager for the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission's Omaha-Metro Area Office. Wagner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bellevue University in Management of Human Resources and has worked in the Fisheries, Parks and Information & Education Divisions of the Game and Parks Commission.

Wagner began his career with the agency at the Ak-sar-ben Aquarium facility south of Gretna as a Part -Time Conservation Technician in 1978. He was promoted to Director of Activities at Platte River State Park near Louisville in 1984 and then promoted to a Public Information Officer post in Omaha in 1985. Upon completion of his Bachelor's degree in 1991, he was named the Manager of the Commission's Omaha-Metro Office. In 2000, he was named Supervisor / Manager of the Year by Commission Director Rex Amack and fellow employees at Game and Parks. In 2001, Nebraska Trout Unlimited bestowed upon him its coveted "Certificate of Merit" award for promoting the protection of cold-water streams in Nebraska.
Wagner and his wife Polly have four children, reside in Omaha and enjoy fishing, hunting, canoeing, camping and spending as much time as possible together outdoors!

The Great Outdoor Radio Show is a showcase of ideas and knowledge of the great outdoors. We celebrate family and encourage adults to take someone younger to appreciate what stepping out has to offer. Hunting and fishing is a major part of the outdoor experience, but it isn't everything. To step out of the city, take a walk in the park, listen to the sounds and watch nature is also a part of the outdoor experience. Get off the couch and become the video game! We hope you enjoy our myspace and hopefully you will join us Saturday Mornings!
