No. 19 Nebraska (39-13) learned Sunday that it was selected for the 2025 NCAA Softball Championships and will be heading to Baton Rouge, La., to take on UConn (35-17). That first round game will be Friday at 2 p.m., with pregame coverage at 1:45 p.m. on 105.3 the Bone.

No. 10 national seed LSU (41-14) and Southeastern Louisiana (30-20) will play in the other first-round game in the four-team, double-elimination regional Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Tiger Park in Baton Rouge. The winners of those two games will square off Saturday at noon, with the losers of the first-round games playing Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The second elimination bracket game will take place Saturday at 5 p.m. The first regional championship game will be played Sunday at 2 p.m. If a second regional final is necessary, it will be played Sunday at 4:30 p.m.

The winner of the Baton Rouge regional will take on the winner of the Knoxville regional in the best-of-three Super Regionals next week. The Knoxville regional is headlined by No. 7 seed Tennessee, with Ohio State, Miami of Ohio and North Carolina rounding out the field.

The Huskers were one of eight Big Ten teams to earn bids to the NCAA Tournament. The list was topped by No. 9 national seed UCLA and No. 16 national seed Oregon, both of whom will host regionals. Ohio State, Michigan, Washington, Northwestern and Indiana all earned bids in the 64-team tournament.

The regionals start Friday and run through Sunday, with the eight Super Regionals occurring May 22-25. The Women’s College World Series will be played in Oklahoma City from May 29 to June 6.
