No. 20 Nebraska softball earned the No. 3 seed for the 2025 Big Ten Tournament, which will begin Wednesday in West Lafayette, Ind. The Cornhuskers received a first-round bye and will take on the winner of No. 6 seed Iowa and No. 11 seed Penn State on Thursday at 10 a.m. The Hawkeyes and Nittany Lions will square off at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the first game of the tournament.
Nebraska joins No. 2 seed UCLA, No. 4 seed Ohio State and No. 1 Oregon in receiving first-round byes to the tournament. The Bruins will take on the winner of No. 7 seed Washington vs. No. 10 seed Indiana. The winner of No. 8 seed Michigan and No. 9 seed Wisconsin will face the Big Ten champion Ducks, while No. 5 Northwestern and No. 12 Purdue will square off for the right to face No. 4 seed Ohio State.
The Huskers finished the season in a tie for second place in the Big Ten with UCLA in the conference standings. The Bruins defeated Nebraska in Cathedral City, Calif., 9-1 in six innings on Feb. 20.
